Timelines for INR deposits
Each method has its own normal processing time:
- IMPS: usually credited within a few minutes
- NEFT: credited in batches every 30 minutes during banking hours; can take 30 minutes to 2 hours
- RTGS: usually credited within 30 minutes during RTGS hours
These are the bank-side timelines.
Common reasons your deposit might be delayed
Bank-side processing delays: Transfers occasionally face delays due to high transaction volume at the bank, brief technical issues, or a maintenance window. These usually resolve within a a few hours.
The deposit was made outside RTGS or NEFT operating windows: NEFT operates 24×7 currently, but RTGS has specific cutoff times. Transfers initiated late at night or on bank holidays may be processed only the next working day.
The amount exceeds your daily deposit limit: If you have already deposited up to your daily limit, an additional deposit may be held until the next day or returned to your bank account.
If the deposit still has not reached your wallet, write to support@bitdelta.in with:
- The bank account you deposited from (account number and IFSC)
- The deposit method (IMPS, NEFT, RTGS)
- The UTR number of the transfer
With the UTR, the support team can trace the transfer through the banking system and reconcile it. Most delayed deposits are resolved within 24 hours of being escalated, often faster.
